Development League

The UKWB Development League is the perfect entry level to the sport for new players, with all clubs encouraged to play in the right spirit of development and competing fairly.

The league is open to players aged 12 and above, that are either currently registered no higher than BWB 3rd Division, or do not play in the National League.

Classification Rules

With participation and development the key focus in this league, the classification system is relaxed slightly.

  • Non-disabled and unclassifiable players play as 4.5 classification players
  • Players pending formal classification can play at their expected classification pending confirmation
  • Teams are limited to 16 points, capped at 18.5 points after allowances
  • If a junior male is on court, an allowance of 1.0 points is added to the team's overall points limit
  • If a female player is on court, an allowance of 1.5 points is added to the team's overall points limit
  • As per BWB rules, a trans athlete can play under the gender they identify as, but they will not receive an additional points allowance
