Lothian Phoenix

Lothian Phoenix

Founded in 2006 in memory of Stevie Duff, Lothian Phoenix Wheelchair Basketball Club is one of Scotland’s leading teams, built on inclusivity, competition, and community. The club welcomes players of all abilities, from beginners to elite athletes, providing a structured pathway through junior and senior teams. Many young players progress to Scotland’s National Academy and national competitions.

Lothian Phoenix offers regular training sessions and provides sports wheelchairs for newcomers, ensuring accessibility for all. Both disabled and able-bodied players are welcome, reflecting the inclusive nature of wheelchair basketball. The club is run by dedicated volunteers and coaches who foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.

Beyond competition, Phoenix is a thriving community where players can develop their skills and enjoy the game. Whether aiming for the highest levels or simply playing for fun, the club provides a welcoming environment for all to get involved and experience the sport.
